IXL is a valuable tool for practicing skills that have already been taught. Students receive immediate feedback, and teachers can quickly see what students understand and where they need additional support. I regularly use IXL to differentiate instruction based on individual needs. If a student needs practice with compound sentences, spelling, topic sentences, or commas in dialogue, I can assign that specific skill. I can also select skills from grades below or above third grade to provide additional support or enrichment. This flexibility makes IXL an efficient way to provide targeted practice and reinforce classroom instruction.
