The curriculum comes with multiple materials just for the teacher. Rather than just having one "teacher guide". The teacher materials are difficult to follow. Extensive training would be required to get the in depth picture of how to use EL. Teachers will need to supplement for writing.

What did you use to supplement for writing?
I continued with teaching the Writing Process and supplemented the reading materials that were given with grade level texts that better fit my students individual needs. I followed the book "The Writing Revolution" in order to help with lesson plans, the writing process, and helping student individual needs. This gave a much better result in my students writing capabilities.
